Meet with ViTroxians
The seed of my interest in joining ViTrox was planted during the industrial visit programme I participated in as an undergraduate degree student. I felt welcomed by the work environment and corporate culture. Several years later, I grabbed the long-awaited opportunity when ViE Technologies (ViTrox’s subsidiary) opened the first process/quality engineer position.
My biggest achievement in this journey was completing a critical project that eliminated the corrosion issue of a product and improved its yield from 40% to 100%. Our team focused only on solving the problem with other engineering teams for a few years. We ran many experiments to redesign all the process parameters, material involvement, etc.
During critical times, our team had daily progress update meetings with the company’s Managing Director, President and CEO, Mr Chu Jenn Weng. Mr Chu never gave up on me; he never gave up on any of us despite the massive time and high costs spent running experiments. He constantly provided moral support to our team throughout this journey.
Over the past nine years, I have designed manufacturing processes after the introduction of new products and solved various process issues by finding root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions. We constantly work to enhance the machinery, manufacturing and assembly processes. These enhancements increase the processes' capacity, quality, and productivity and minimise human dependency.
